Salem Baking Co.

Childhood memories of Christmas past. We all have them and they seem to be what we strive to re-create for ourselves and our loved ones. Well, here is one of my good memories - Dewey's Bakery in Winston-Salem, N.C.. I remember the white tile floor and the Moravian sugar bread and the paper thin ginger cookies. And now we can sell them because Dewey's started The Salem Baking Co. and still uses the original recipes from the Old Salem Moravians. So please come in for a sample of Ginger Spice cookies, sugar cookies or their cheese straws. And start your own good Deweys memory. Farmhand Mary

One great party...

Our 10th Annual Holiday Open House was a huge hit! So huge, I totally forgot to take pictures!!! I did snap some of our beautiful ice luminaria and giant bowl with cranberries and floating candles. I know there are some more somewhere too, so I will put those up for your viewing pleasure as soon as I find them! Tons of customers won door prizes, thanks to our wonderful candle rep for bringing us wonderful Tyler candle giveaways. The cheesecake disapeared very quickly as well as the espresso brownies, orange peel sugar cookies, lemon shortbread tarts, coconut cupcakes, gingerbread, and pumpkin dessert! If you missed this year, make sure to stop in this Friday and Saturday to choose your discount and get up to fourty percent off Christmas decor!

Fresh Christmas Wreathes

I have been whipping up fresh Christmas wreathes with greenery straight from the local mountains, some I had to harvest in the snow too! They smell great, and there are different sizes, but come get one soon if you want one, because I have limited supplies and time to make them!

Illume Candles

The Balsam and Cedar candle by Illume is seriously one of my favorite candles in the entire world! I buy these like crazy during Christmas time and then burn them all year round at home!!! They are selling like hotcakes too, so come in and try a sniff and you will understand the need for these at Christmas. If Balsam and Cedar isn't your cup of tea, try Eggnog Latte, it is fantastic!
