January cows!

I love January - the holidays are over and you have some time to organize and change out your home for a few more grey months in the PNW!  So our display today went with rusty barn siding, cows, red oilcloth and primroses. So go on over to our Repent Antiques blog to see the whole display. Or better yet get into Monticello Antiques in Portland to see all the cows. Oh, the primroses smell pretty darn good too.... Christmas window in Portland

The magic of a plain green tree adorned with antlers, pheasant feathers, brass horns, mercury glass ornaments!  A vintage galvenized watering trough with a hand made wooden top that transforms it into a bench or sofa table! Go visit www.repentantiques.blogspot.com to see our new display. Let the magic begin... Mary and Sara

A woodland Christmas

Yesterday we did our first Christmas display at Monticello. It has a decidedly woodland theme to it with handblown insect ornaments and English hedgehog mugs. So go on over to our other blog www.repentantiques.blogspot.com to see more pictures. The Monticello Christmas show opens on Nov 22 and is a sensory overload of beautiful displays so try and get up to shop. You will not be disappointed. And on Dec 1 we have the honor of doing a display in the front window at Monticello. So have a warm, family oriented Thanksgiving as we are so blessed in this country. Remember to donate what you can to the people in the Phillipines as we all can make a hugh difference in their recovery.  Mary

Halloween at Monticello

So grab a friend and go spend the day in Portland.  The fall weather is invigorating, the scenery with all the leaves changing is not to be missed and the shopping at Monticello is so much fun. Their cafe has good soups and sandwiches but Portland is full of good food. You can view all the new items we took up yesterday at www.repentantiques.blogspot.com or just go to Monticello for sensory overload. Take exit #20 off Hwy 205 and go left on Stark Street to 8600 SE Stark. Get out and enjoy life... Mary

Come visit us!

So many customers have told us how much they miss shopping with us now that I have retired from Farmhand. You can still shop with us - you just have to grab a friend or two and come to Monticello Antique Marketplace  at 8600 SE Stark Street in Porland. It is a fun store and we are right up front. We just did a new camping display and took down the Red, White and Blue display this week. So come up and shop and love Sara's displays. Retail is something I will always do and enjoy doing. So take a day off (you know you deserve it) or come up on the weekends - Monticello is open 7 days a week.  Take I-205 to exit 19 (Stark and Washington) and go left on Stark a few blocks.

Well all the signs are down and the building is painted, inside and out.I sold the building the end of March and the new family is so busy making it their own style.  The end of an era as Farmhand Feed & Home Co is put to rest.We welcome the new feedstore-  Coast Fork Feed that will open in two weeks.  I miss (but still see) some customers but am enjoying my "retirement.  We have moved our antique business into our new space at Monticello in Portland and sales have been brisk because of the Garden Show going on now.  You can visit our blog at www.repentantiques.blogspot.com to keep up with what we are doing.  Soon we will list this wonderful 108 year old Victorian house to sell it and move up outside Portland. We have found some beautiful areas of peace and quiet. So the next chapter opens for me....exciting!  Sara has made some Repent cards to hand out and I will make sure some of them get to the new feed store so you can stay in touch with us. She also just got Honors for the OSU business winter term. Good job Sara!  Stay in touch... Mary
